AAIBO members met last Wednesday April 21st at the Abilene Country Club to hear a program from candidates for the Abilene City Council. The program was moderated by Bob Test and included three of the four candidates hoping to be elected to Laura Moore's seat on the council. I attended the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and listened again to the arguments for and against the city enacting regulations governing "Guest Houses". A dispute in a neighborhood on Sayles Boulevard has caused the P and Z to spend many hours spread over several meetings listening and discussing these establishments.
