Last week was a busy week with three important meeting that I attended on your behalf. Your AAIBO membership voted 97% in favor of voting YES and your board of directors voted 100% in favor of voting YES for this bond proposal ! I attended the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and listened again to the arguments for and against the city enacting regulations governing "Guest Houses". A dispute in a neighborhood on Sayles Boulevard has caused the P and Z to spend many hours spread over several meetings listening and discussing these establishments. Abilene Business Owners support a career/tech high school
The business owners that make up the AAIBO membership have voted by a very large margin (96% yes) to support the movement to encourage the AISD school board to build a career tech high school. The July 14th meeting of the general membership of AAIBO was well attended . Robert Morris, our Secretary, counted 41 people in attendance. We heard an interesting program about how franchises work. Our speaker was John Moak from www.fortunafranchisesolutions.com from Chicago
